Sophie Cunningham Blasts A’ja Wilson After Fan Incident
Just when you thought the high-stakes playoff series between the Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces couldn’t get any more dramatic, Indiana guard Sophie Cunningham decided to stir the pot.
Following Indiana’s season-saving Game 2 victory, Cunningham took to social media to poke fun at Aces superstar A’ja Wilson over a heated, baseline confrontation with a spectator. The playful troll has added serious fuel to the fire heading into a winner-take-all Game 3.
The Incident That Started It All
During the second-half action at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Wilson committed a hard foul on Cunningham. Following the play, a fan sitting along the baseline stood up, pointed directly at Wilson, and yelled, “It’s on you!”
An irate Wilson approached the fan in the stands before teammates and coaches stepped in to pull her back. Officials hit Wilson with a technical foul, while security briefly removed the fan before arena officials determined no code of conduct was breached, allowing him to return to his seat.

“What a Comeback Year for the Point”
Never one to shy away from mind games, Cunningham posted a video on TikTok casually sipping her morning coffee while breaking down the situation.
“Not trying to be dramatic at all, like seriously,” Cunningham laughed. “I was just here having my morning coffee and what a damn comeback year for the point. Who would have ever thought? Just, who would have ever thought?”
Cunningham’s sarcastic jab was a direct callback to her own viral moment from earlier this season, when she silently pointed at Phoenix Mercury veteran DeWanna Bonner during an on-court skirmish. Additionally, Cunningham hinted in her caption that Wilson was fortunate to avoid a harsher penalty or ejection for stepping toward the stands.
All Eyes on Game 3
With the series tied 1-1 and shifting back to Sin City for a decisive final match, the emotional temperature is through the roof.
Will Cunningham’s cheeky social media jab rattle the reigning MVP, or will it motivate Wilson to deliver a dominant performance on her home floor? One thing is certain: the rivalry between Indiana and Las Vegas has officially reached a boiling point.
