Sad News: Crystal Palace hit with big injury blow ahead of Wolves, Man Utd and Tottenham clashes

Crystal Palace have been hit with a big injury blow ahead of a tough run of games.

Crystal Palace have been hit with a major injury blow as they prepare for a tough run of Premier League fixtures. The Eagles disappointed on Thursday night, drawing with Bosnian side Zrinjski in the first leg of their Europa Conference League playoff clash.

The result is another bruise amid a torrid second half of the season for Palace so far. Oliver Glasner is now coming under serious criticism as he struggles through the final months of his time at Selhurst Park.

In the Premier League, Palace eased relegation concerns with a win last time out, keeping them eight points above the drop zone and needing only eight points to reach the magic 40-point total.

But Palace have some tough games to come, with fixtures with Manchester United, Tottenham and Leeds United to come after a date with bottom club Wolves, while there is also the second leg of the Conference League during that run.

Ahead of those games, Palace have suffered an injury blow, with starting defender Maxence Lacroix picking u an injury on Thursday night, and an injury that forced him off, no less.

“I don’t know the level,” Glasner said after the game when addressing Glasner’s injury. “It is their doctor, and anyway, it was the muscle. If you have to make a substitution due to a muscle problem, it is never a good sign.”

Glasner added: “Hopefully, [Lacroix’s injury] is not too bad, because Chadi Riad cramped at the end. He just came back from a more than one-year injury, and is playing maybe in three days again, and then four days and then three days and four days.

“[Jefferson] Lerma is out, so [Tyrick] Mitchell is maybe an option, so we have to be very creative to find the right players for these positions.”
